A poem for Teresa (my cousin)…

❤️Oh pretty girl with skinny legs and brown eyes of beauty too
❤️With your arm in mine we skipped through life as children always do
❤️With laughter to make our bellies roll until tears were in our eyes
❤️Sweet memories that I have of you of all those days gone by
❤️I know God gave me you just to share with me some fun
❤️He knew I needed that and that you would be the one
❤️Our inseparable family tie no one could break into
❤️When you hung out with me or I hung out with you
❤️The innocence of childish ways we didn’t think ahead
❤️Taking life as it would come but time oh how its fled
❤️How I wish those days of simple times with green grass between our toes
❤️The trampoline the woods we roamed and dressing up in hippie clothes
❤️The nights so dark with scary fright as we laid up in the bed
❤️And thought of silly things to say that we made up in our heads
❤️Oh pretty girl with skinny legs and brown eyes of beauty too
❤️How we have grown up and grown apart but in my heart is you
